Surprise, surprise, Fallout 4 has some bugs

Bethesda has a long history of putting out buggy games, and it seems Fallout 4 is no exception.

Gamers have taken to message boards to complain about a whole host of issues, mostly related to performance.

Videos have come out showing significant stuttering on the console version. The Xbox One has been been known to drop as low as zero frames per second in some cases.

The PC Master Race isn’t particularly happy either, citing high system requirements despite dated graphics, low performance on AMD cards, and a buggy physics engine that ties game speed to frame rate.

Bethesda had similar problems when Skyrim launched back in 2011. Fallout 4 uses the same game engine.

I don’t have a copy of the game to test these claims myself. My PC doesn’t meet minimum specs, and I’m not paying $80 plus tax for the PS4 version.

If you were smart enough not to buy the game at launch, patience will likely reward you with a patch in a few weeks. You’ll definitely want to hold off until then.
